Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 90-85,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 90-85 is to amend the Salary Ordinance and
its specific Section 8.09 (d) , Municipal Golf Course, Department of
Parks and Recreation, by reallocating one position of Golf Course
Groundskeeper I WB-3 to Mechanical Repair Helper WB-5 .
Reasons cited for the need of this higher level position is that none
of the other personnel are authorized to do any repair or associated
types of work . Further, the Parks Maintenance Division is
responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment of the
department and, therefore, often overburdened with priority repairs .
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter, interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be made by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution 90-85
and recommends its adoption.
