Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred 'Resolution 82-85 ,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 82-85 is to amend the Salary Ordinance of
the Office of the County Council , Section 8 .01 (a ) , by reallocating
one position of Senior Election Clerk SR-12 to Elections Assistant
SR-15 , at an annual additional cost of $1, 212.
Justification for the reallocation cites additional administrative
responsibilities due to increased voter registration , absentee
voting, and record keeping.
Pursuant to Section 3-14 , Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be made by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution 82-85
and recommends its adoption .
