Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill No. 78 , reports
as follows:
The purpose of Bill No . 78 is to increase revenues in the General
Fund Account #3301 .14 by $5 ,045 and appropriate $4 ,910 to the General
Fund Account #010-481-5481 .11-112, Elderly Activities - RSVP Mileage
& Auto Allowance , and $135 to the General Fund Account
010-481-5481 .11-341 , Elderly Activities - RSVP Misc. Charges .
The $5 ,045 has been contributed by ACTION, a Federal volunteer
agency, for use in mileage reimbursement and miscellaneous charges in
providing additional support services for the homebound elderly .
Pursuant to Section 10-8 of the Hawaii County Charter , relating to
Supplementary Appropriations , after the Mayor 's certification of
available funds , the Council , by ordinance, effective immediately,
may make supplemental appropriations up to the amount of available
revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 78 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
