Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 262,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 262 is to confirm or reject the `
appointment by Mayor Dante K. Carpenter of Mr . Gary Aganus of Hamakua
to the Liquor Commission, for a term to expire December 31, 1989. He
replaces Mr; Shigeru Fujimoto whose term has expired .
Pursuant to Section 13-4(b ) and 7-3. 2 of the Hawaii County Charter ,
board and commission members shall be appointed by the Mayor and
confirmed by the Council .
Your Committee on Finance has interviewed Mr . Aganus and recommends
approval of his appointment to the Liquor Commission .
