Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 233 ,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 233 is to confirm or reject the
appointment by Mayor Dante K. Carpenter of Mr . Denny Holt to the
Tax Review Board, for an unexpired term ending December 31, 1987 .
Mr . Holt will be replacing Mr . Benjamin Guerrero , who has resigned .
Pursuant to Section 13-4 (b ) of the Hawaii County Charter and
Section 19-96 of the Hawaii County Code , board and commission members
shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council .
Your Committee on Finance has interviewed Mr . Holt and recommends
approval of his appointment to the Tax Review Board.
