Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 68, reports
as follows:
The purpose. of Bill No. 68 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget, by increasing the General Fund Account No. 3304 by $5 ,765 .70
received from State grants and appropriate same to General Fund
Account No. 010-271-5271 .51-115 for training activities .
The funds are a reimbursement to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office
for food stamp fraud prosecution. The monies will be utilized for
training purposes in late August and early September .
Pursuant to Section 10-8 of the Hawaii County Charter , relating to
Supplementary Appropriations, after the Mayor 's certification of
available funds , the Council , by ordinance , effective immediately,
may make supplementalappropriations up to the amount of available
revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 68 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
