Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 63, reports
as follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 63 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget, by increasing revenues in the General Fund Account `
No . 3301 .95 (Marijuana Eradication) by $100 ,000 and appropriate same
to the General Fund Account No . 010-201-5218.36-115 (Marijuana
Eradication ) .
The funds shall be provided by the United States Department of
Justice Drug Enforcement Administration .
Pursuant to Section 10-8 of the Hawaii County Charter , relating to
Supplementary Appropriations , after the Mayor 's certification of
available funds, the Council, by ordinance, effective immediately,
may make supplemental appropriations up to the amount of available
revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 63 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
