Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 192,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication 192 is to confirm or reject the `
appointment by Mayor Dante K. Carpenter of Mr . Frank M. Thompson to
the Fire Board of Appeals . His appointment will expire December 31,
1989. A resident of Kona, Mr . Thompson will replace Mr . Norbert
Keolanui whose term has expired.
In accordance with the Hawaii County Code, Section 26-3, and the
Hawaii County Charter, Section 13-4, confirmation by the Council is
required.
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr. Frank M. Thompson to the Fire Board of Appeals and requests his
presence at the Council meeting at 'which confirmation is to be held.
