Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 48-85 ,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 48-85 is to approve First Nationwide
Savings as a depository for County funds .
State Savings was contracted as the depository for the County's
's
$100 ,000 certificate prior to the takeover by First Nationwide
Savings .
Pursuant to Section 5-3.3(d) of the Hawaii County Charter , the
Council , by resolution, may deposit funds in banks and trust
companies designated as depositories . Act 51, 1970 Session Laws,
includes insured savings and loans as acceptable depositories .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution 48-85
and recommends its approval .
