1 am writing to express my interest in the preservation of Ptinaluu Beach. 'I~he
area is locally and federally recognized as a unique natural resource. It is culturally
and historically significant. It offers hands-on outdoor experiences for students
and visitors alike. Punaluu is a priceless educational, recreational, and natural
resource.
If vehicle access to the beach were restricted, there would be more of a beach.
I7iere would he more space for people and wildlife. It would make the beach
safer for children. It would also protect federally listed endangered sea. turtles.
Doing away with the road will improve the visitor experience, and also quality of
life for its residents.
Please discoiuagc development of the area and refuse all requests to pave the road.
