Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 29 , reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 29 is to amend Ordinance 84-32, the Capital
Budget for the fiscal year 1984-85 , by adding the following projects:
Kapehu Sewerage System - Federal $ 345 ,618
Kuakini Intercepter "A" - Federal 1 ,668 ,525
Kuakini Intercepter "A" - Private 185 ,500
Ice Pond Sewers - Federal 342,544
$2,542,187
Funding for these projects shall be provided through:
Federal Grants Receivable $2,356 ,687
Contribution from Private Source 185 ,500
$2,542,187
Councilman Domingo notified the Finance Chairman that the Kapehu
sewerage project is to be jointly done with Hamakua Sugar Company and
as an employee of the sugar company , his voting on the matter may be
construed as a possible conflict . The Chair acknowledged his
disclosure and allowed Councilman Domingo to vote .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 29 and
recommends that it pass first readin
