Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Resolution 32-85 ,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 32-85 is to amend the Salary Ordinance of
1984-85 by reallocating one position of Clerk-Typist SR-8 to Senior
Clerk-Typist SR-10 .
The amendment is a result of findings through a classification study
for the Office of the County Council . The study revealed that higher
level duties have been assigned to the Clerk-Typist because two Clerk
Stenographer positions are vacant and there is no intent to fill
these vacancies . The increase in annual cost for the reallocation is
744 .
Pursuant to Section 3-14 , Hawaii County Charter , relating to Adoption
of Pay Plan , interim amendments to the salary ordinance may be made
by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution 32-85
and recommends its adoption .
