follows :
The purpose of Bill 4 is to authorize funding of $10 ,000 for Year 1
purchase of new parking meters from the existing Parking Meter Fund
Balance . A three-year plan has been developed to replace all
existing meters as follows :
Year 1: 24 Duals 10 Singles
Year 2 : 19 Duals 20 Singles
Year 3 : 3 Duals 38 Singles
The purchase of meters in Years 2 and 3 may be deferred due to
replaced meters serving as a source of replacement parts .
Pursuant to Section 10-8 of the Hawaii County Charter relating to
Supplemental Appropriations, Bill 4 amends Ordinance 84-31, the
Operating Budget for FY 1984-85 , by appropriating $10 ,000 from the
Parking Meter Fund Balance to the Parking Meter Fund Equipment
Account .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 4 and
recommends that it pass first reading .
