Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 687, reports
as follows:
Bill 687 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-83, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1988-89, by increasing revenues in Account No . 3304 . 23 ,
State Grants , Witness Security & Protection Program, by $13,925, and
appropriating same to the following General Fund account :

Program
Communication 1857 explains that the initial grant for this program
was $17 ,900 and appropriated under Ordinance 88-130 , which was
effective September 6 , 1988 .
This grant was subsequently increased by $13 ,925 .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 687 and recommends that it pass first reading .
