Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 686, reports
as follows:
Bill 686 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-83, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1988-89, by increasing revenues in Account No . 3301-61 ,
Federal Grant - Sobriety Checkpoint Expansion, by $1 ,434 and
appropriating same to the following General Fund account:

010-201-5218 .68-115 Sobriety Checkpoint Expansion $1 ,434
Communication 1856 explains that a federal grant for Sobriety
Checkpoint Expansion in the amount of $15 ,000 was appropriated and
effective on September 26, 1988 .
The communication further explains that the grant has been increased
by $1 ,434 and thus an additional appropriation in that amount is
necessary .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 686 and recommends that itass first reading.
