Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 663, reports
as follows:
Bill 663 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-83, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1988-89, by increasing revenues in the Fund Balance from
Previous Year account in the General Fund by $2,500 and
appropriating same to the following account:

Funds are necessary to test ten transformers at the complex for
possible PCB. Tests are undertaken in compliance with federal
guidelines on hazardous materials .
Your Committee on Finance finds that the removal of transformers
with PCB are in the best interest of public safety. Positive
results will require additional funds to remove the hazardous
situation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 663 and recommends that/7/pass first reading.
