Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 656 , reports
as follows:
Bill 656 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-83, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1988-89, by increasing revenues in the Fund Balance from
Previous Year account in the General Fund by $15 ,000 and
appropriating same to the following account:

010-201-5203 .02-115 Police Admin Div - OCE - General $15 ,000
Misc Contract Services
Kona Police Station
The appropriation of $15 ,000 will be used for necessary improvements
to the Kona Police Station . Improvements will increase the security
and efficiency for the building .
Your Committee on Finance finds that a secure and efficient building
is indeed desirable for effective police operations .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 656 and recommends that iss first reading.
