Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 653, reports
as follows:
The purpose of Bill 653 is to amend Chapter 2, Article 17, Hawaii
County Code 1983 , relating to public record fee schedule .
Communication 1827 explains that the change would be to delete from
subsection (d ) , the phrase "100 words " and replace it with the word
"page" .
The reason for the amendment is to accommodate those frequent
requests for excerpts of Council or Committee minutes in which the
requestor cites an urgency to have it soon after the meeting.
The fee of $1 .0.0 would be more in line with the service performed .
It would also be easier to count pages rather than the number of
words .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 653 and recommends that it,/pja,st first reading.
