No . 497-88 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 497-88 is to transfer and appropriate
$15 ,600 as follows:

Communication 1854 explains that the County has received an
authorization of $67,366 under the UMTA, Section 18 , Capital and
Operating Assistance Grant which is incorporated in the Mass Transit
Agency budget . Of this amount, $42,000 has been appropriated,
leaving an unappropriated amount of $25 ,366 .
The communication further explains that $15 ,600 in salary and wages
is to be redirected to various other accounts .
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter , the Council ,
by resolution, may transfer part or all of any unencumbered
appropriation balance from one agency to another .
Your Committee on Finance is in ac with the intent and purpose
of Resolution No . 497-88 and recommends its adoption.
