Your Committee on Finance, to which was recommitted Bill 633,
reports as follows :
Bill 633 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-81 , the Capital Improvement
Budget for Fiscal Year 1988-89 , by redesignating the source of funds
for the following project:
Department of Parks and Recreation
Piihonua Gym $75 ,000
(110-599-5592 . 35-115 )
Funds for this project shall be provided from the Bond Fund Fund
Balance .
Your Committee has been informed that the gym was last repainted in
1975 . The exterior roof and wall and interior need repainting. The
gutter needs repair and/or replacement . Minor building repairs are
also needed .
Bill 633 was passed on first reading and referred back to Committee
to allow the Committee the opportunity to consider the Piihonua Gym
proposal in conjunction with the recommendations accompanying the
rest of the available fund balances .
It has been about 13 years since the last time the gym was
repainted . Your Committee was told that an 8-year cycle would be
more appropriate .

Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 633 and recommends that it pass second and final reading .
