Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Communication
41o . 1814 , a request from Corporation Counsel for an executive
session to discuss Civil Case No . 86-008 , Jordan v . County, and
Civil Case No . 7242, Shirakawa v. County .
Your Committee on Finance heard from Corporation Counsel the details
and settlement recommendations of the cases . Your Committee concurs
with the Corporation Counsel 's recommendations that it is in the
best interest of the County to accept the settlement proposals .
Your Committee on Finance recommends that the Council approve the
recommended settlements as presented by the Corporation Counsel .
