Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 629, reports
as follows:
Bill 629 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-81 , the Capital Improvement
Budget for Fiscal Year 1988-89, by redesignating the source of funds
for the following project :
Department. of Parks and Recreation
Carvalho Park $25,000
(110-599-5592 . 23-115)'
Funds for this project shall be provided from the Bond Fund Fund
Balance .
Your Committee on Finance has been informed that the reasons for the
need of thefunds are as follows : "Severe structural damage , due to
ground termite infestation, has been found throughout the
pavilion/kitchen structure located at Carvalho Park . In addition,
ground settlement and possibly earthquake occurrences have caused
cracks in the concrete floor and posts . Due to these damages ,
repair of the concrete floor , reinforcement of the concrete posts ,
reconstruction of the pavilion and kitchen areas have been
and
determined to be the most feasible solution . "
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 629 and recommends thaass first reading.
