Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 614 , reports
as follows:
Bill 614 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-81, as amended, the Capital
Improvement Budget for Fiscal Year 1988-89 , by adding the following
project :
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Energy Conservation Alternatives for $63, 600
Wastewater Facilities
(110-699-5699 . 07-115)
Your Committee understands that funds will be provided by the State .
Your Committee further understands that these funds will be used to
conduct a feasibility study in energy conservation alternatives for
wastewater treatment facilities . Hopefully, the study will provide
alternatives by which electrical consumption at sewer treatment
facilities may be reduced.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 614 and recommends that it pass first reading.
