Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 609, reports
as follows :
Bill 609 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-83, as amended, the
Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 1988-89 , by increasingrevenues in
the Federal Grants - Marijuana Eradication account by 127 ,500 and
appropriating same to the Marijuana Eradication - 1988 account .
Communication 1741 indicated that the $127,500 came from the U. S .
Drug Enforcement Administration and that it was in addition to the
$246,000 which was received earlier .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 609 and recommends that it pass first reading.
