Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 597 , reports as
follows:
Bill 597 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-83, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1988-89, by increasing revenues in General Fund Account
No . 3304 . 23, State Grants, Witness Security and Protection, by
17, 900 , and appropriating same to thefollowing account:

Your Committee on Finance is aware that the Police Department has
received a grant of $17,900 for its Witness Security and Protection
Program. These funds are being made available through the State ' s
Department of the Attorney General .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose of
Bill 597 and recommends that it pass first reading.
