Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 596, reports as
follows:
Bill 596 proposes to amend Ordinance 88-83 , the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1988-89, by increasing revenues in General Fund Account
No . 3304. 31, State Grants, Statewide Narcotics Task Force, by
$202,335 , and appropriating same to the following account:

010-201-5218 .67-115 Statewide Narcotics Task Force $202,335
Your Committee on Finance has been informed that the State ' s
Department of Attorney General has confirmed a grant of $202,335 to
the Hawaii County Police Department . These funds will be used to
participate in the Statewide Narcotics Task Force .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose of
Bill 596 and reco nds that it pass first reading.
