Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 573 , reports
as follows:
Bill 573 proposes to amend Ordinance 87-59, the Capital Improvement
Budget for Fiscal Year 1987-88, by increasing the appropriation for
the Kahaluu Beach Park project in the amount of $21,182.
Your Committee on Finance has been apprised of the fact that the
bids for the Kahaluu Beach Park improvements were higher than
expected . The low bid for the project was $120 ,592. A total of
99 ,410 is presently available for the project, which includes
10 ,567 from the Community Development Block Grant funds . There is
an additional need for $21,182 to award the contract . '
Your committee is aware that funding for the increased appropriation
would come from the 198.0-A bond proceeds .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 573 and recommends that ' t pass second and final reading.
