Communication No . 1624 is a communication from Councilman Sherwood
Greenwell informing the Council of the cost estimates for the
improvements to the Kona Scenic Park and requesting that this
project be included in the 1988-89 Capital Improvement Budget .
The letter further points out that Kona lacks recreational

tennis court is already planned . The estimated cost of developing
the park is as follows:

Your committee has learned that the park is intended for the
recreational use of younger people and no lights are expected to be
erected . The land for the park was a requirement that had to be met
for the establishment of the subdivision .
Your Committee on Finance recommends that Communication 1624 be
referred to the Council for consideration in the 1988-89 CIP budget .
