Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No . 456-88 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 456-88 is to transfer and appropriate
1,200 as follows: -

010-101-5101 .02-112 Clerk-Council Mileage & Auto Allowance
Your Committee on Finance has been informed that unusually high
mileage claims over the past two months , due to increased rural
meetings , have drawn the Council 's mileage and auto allowance
account down to a balance of $1 ,477 .86 as of the April payments .
Your committee has been further informed that high mileage claims
are also anticipated for May, due to budget meetings and public
hearings .
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter , the Council ,
by resolution , may transfer part or all of any unencumbered
appropriation balance from one agency to another .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Resolution No . 456-88 and recommenpoons adoption .
