Your Committee on Finance is aware that the purpose of the ordinance
is to appropriate funds for the listed projects . It is further
aware that none of these funds can be used to pay for salaries,
wages or consultation contracts without the approval of the County
Council .
Your committee further understands that the projects will be funded
solely by revenues derived from the increased fuel tax created by
Resolution 397-88 .
Pursuant to the provisions of Resolution 397-88 , funding shall be
distributed among the districts in accordance with a formula which
takes into account the percentage of vehicle weight taxes collected
and percentage of County road miles in each district . The
distribution formula is as follows :
