Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 450-88, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 450-88 is to cancel Resolution 416-88 ,
which was passed on March 23, 1988 and which was to transfer $5 ,928
from the Family Support Service, Inc . , to the Hawaii Island YWCA.
The funds are to be restored to the Family Support Service, Inc.
Your Committee on Finance is aware that the Hilo Family Support
Service, Inc. , originally was to turn over its functions and the
balance of its finances to the YWCA as of March 1988 . However ,
after the arrangements had been made for the transfer , the Family
Support Service, Inc. , was advised by the State Mental Health fiscal
department to continue its function until the end of the fiscal
year , June 30 , 1988 .
Your committee was informed that waiting until June 30 , 1988 would
allow for a cleaner break and would allow for all unexpended funds
to zero out by June 30 , 1988 .
Your committee was further informed that all parties involved have
mutually agreed to the terms of the action to be taken .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No . 450-88 and recommends its a ption.
