Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 528, reports
as follows:
Bill 528 proposes to amend Ordinance 87-59, the Capital Improvement
Budget for Fiscal Year 1987-88, by increasing the appropriation for
the Paauilo Village Pipeline project in the amount of $65, 000 .
Funds for the increased appropriation shall be provided from the
following sources :
Department of Water Supply $35, 000
Unallotted Appropriation 80A Bonds 27,326
Unallotted Appropriation 82A Bonds 2, 674
Your Committee on Finance is aware of an existing appropriation of
120,000 for the Paauilo Village Pipeline. This project of the
Department of Water Supply was awarded a full allotment . Bid
proposals exceeded the available appropriation by $65, 000 .
Additional funds are needed to award the contract .
Your Committee on Finance is aware that Bill 527 is being submitted
which proposes to amend Section 8 of Ordinance No. 482, as amended.
The sum of $27, 326 is derived from the remaining proceeds from the
1980A bond sale .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 528 and recommends thatitpass first reading .
