Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 492, reports
as follows:
Bill 492 proposes to amend Ordinance 87-59, the Capital Improvement .
Budget for Fiscal Year 1987-88, by adding the following project:
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS:
Kuakini Highway Interceptor Sewer , Part C $3, 251, 250
EPA Funds
(110-699-5697 .11-115)
Your Committee on Finance is aware that these funds represent the
matching Federal share of 75 percent for the work to be performed by
the contractor and construction manager .
Your Committee was informed that the County ' s share of the project
is about $409,000 . There was no specific indication as to where the
funds are to be derived from, but they will be available in the near
future.
Your Committee further learned that the federal "grants receivable"
cannot be spent until the County puts in its share of matching funds . .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 492 and recommends that it pass first reading.
