Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 477 , reports
as follows:
Bill 477 proposes to amend Ordinance 87-58, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1987-88, by increasing revenues in General Fund Account
No . 3607 .00, Contribution from Private Sources , by $20,000, and
appropriating same to the following General Fund account:

Tourism Promotion-Private
YourYour Committee on Finance is aware of the receipt of cash
contributions by Mayor Carpenter , on behalf of the County, as
follows:
Japan-Kona Royal Chapel Association : 10 ,000
Otaka, Inc . ' 10 ,000
Your committee is further aware that these funds are to be used to
promote tourism between the County of Hawaii and Japan.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 477 and recommends that it pass f ' st reading.
