your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No . 1386., reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication No . 1386 is to recommend the
appointment of Mr . Sanford Y. Yanagi , an independent from Hilo, to
the Tax Board of Review.
Mr . Yanagi , a retired administrator with the State Department of
Taxation, will serve until December 31 , 1992, filling a vacancy
which will be created when the term of Mr . Dennis R. Holt expires on
December 31 , 1987 .
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 19-96 of the Hawaii County
Code, the Mayor appoints members to the Tax Board of Review with the
approval of the Council in the mariner prescribed in Section 13-4 of
the Hawaii County Charter .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . Sanford Y. Yanagi to the Tax Board of eview.
