Your Committee on Finan'ce, to which was referred Communication
'No . 1347 , reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No . 1347 is to recommend the
appointment of Mr . Bernard E. W. "Barney" Meadows, an independent
from Kau, to the Civil Service Commission.
Mr . Meadows, a retired glassblower and real estate agent , will serve
until December 31, 1992, filling a vacancy which will be created
when the term of Mr . Stanley Mukai expires on December 31 , 1987 .
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 76-71 of the Hawaii Revised
Statutes , the Mayor appoints members to the Civil Service Commission
with the approval of the Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . Bernard E. W. "Barney" Meadows to e Civil Service Commission .
