our Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No . 1346 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication No . 1346 is to recommend the
appointment of Ms. Jane C. Yanabu , a democrat from Hilo, to the
Civil Service Commission.
Ms . Yanabu, a teacher at Pahoa Elementary School, will serve until
December 31 , 1992, filling a vacancy which will be created when the
term of Ms . Janice Mahuna expires on December 31, 1987 .
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 76-71 of the Hawaii Revised
Statutes, the Mayor appoints members to the Civil Service Commission
with the approval of the Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Ms . Jane C. Yanabu to the Civil Sery Commission.
