Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 44. 5 , reports
as follows:
Bill 445 proposes to amend Ordinance 87-58 , the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1987-88 , by increasing revenues in General Fund Account'
No . 3301 .52, Federal Grants, Highway Safety, by $24 ,388 and
appropriating same to the following:

.57-115 Seatbelt Enforcement 6 ,000

Total $24 ,388
Your Committee on Finance is aware that these are Federal grants
relating to public safety and will be used to increase enforcement
and the public 's awareness of the law regarding DUI and the
mandatory seatbelt law.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 445 and recommends that it pass first reading. .
