Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 376-87 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 376-87 is to transfer and appropriate
$3 ,500 as follows:

010-201-5218 .41-449 Drug Enforcement-Equip-Motor Vehicle
Your Committee on Finance has been made aware that the Police
Department has the opportunity to purchase a multi-purpose vehicle
from the State of Hawaii Surplus Properties at a cost of $3 ,500 .
The cost includes purchasing, transporting and renovating the
vehicle into a Mobile Command Post for drug enforcement projects .
Your committee is also aware that at present, drug enforcement
projects require setting up a stationary command post .
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter , the Council ,
by resolution, may transfer part or all of any unencumbered
appropriation balance from one agency to another . .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Resolution No . 376-87 and recommends it doption.
