Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Communication
/No . 1272 reports as follows:
The West Hawaii Youth Soccer Organization has donated the soccer
goal posts at the Kailua Park Soccer Field to the Department of
Parks and Recreation
Your Committee on Finance has been apprised of the fact that these
goal posts are valued at $3 ,000 .
Your committee is aware that the organization had recently donated
the sum of $1 ,871 to be used toward the construction of a fence at
the Kailua Park Soccer Field.
Pursuant to Section 13-12 , Hawaii County Charter , the Council , on
behalf of the County , may accept gifts of donation .
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to Mr . Raymond J. Stimac ,
Assistant Commissioner , West Hawaii Youth Soccer Organization ,
P. 0. Box 5425 , Kailua-Kona , HI 96740 .
