Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Resolution
No . 353-87 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 353-87 is to authorize the demolition
of two cottages at Kohala High and Elementary School and one cottage
at Halaula Elementary School .
In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2 , Article 19 of the
Hawaii County Code , the Director of Finance is authorized to take
steps to dispose of the above cited cottages by public auction .
The Director of Finance is to determine the date , place , reasonable
terms and conditions of the auction .
If no acceptable bids are received , the Director of Finance will
take the necessary steps to have the buildings demolished and have
them removed expeditiously .
Pursuant to Chapter 2 , Article 19 of the Hawaii County Code , the
County Council may , by resolution , approved by a majority of its
membership, dispose of real property .
Your Committee on Finance concurs ' th the intent of Resolution
No . 353-87 and recommends its aption .
