Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Communication
/No . 1169 reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No. 1169 from HSAC President
Takashi Domingo is to inform the counties about the slate of
officers and operating budget for 1987-88 .
Exhibit C is a rider to the operating budget proposed by Kauai
County which would restore paying travel expenses for staff . The
travel expenses restored would be as follows:
Real Property Tax $ 600 .00
Intergovernmental Relations 1 ,000 .00
Planning & Economic Development 600 .00
Executive 600 .00
In addition, professional services under the Intergovernmental
Relations Committee has been increased from $25 ,000 to $30 ,000 .
Each county is to discuss the pros and cons of Exhibit C and submit
its recommendation to the Executive Committee .
Your Committee on Finance recommends concurrence with the increase
in professional services under the IGR Committee but disapproval of
the restoration of inter-island t funds for staff .
