Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 377 , reports
as follows:
Bill 377 proposes to amend Ordinance 86-63 , the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1986-87, by increasing revenues in General Fund Account
No . 3609 .12, Fund Balance from Previous Year - Liquor Control , by '
200 ,000 and appropriating same to Transfer to Other Funds (Housing
Fund - Kealakehe Housing Plan ) , Account No . 010-801-5801.01-341 .
Bill 377 would, establish the vehicle by which $200 ,000 would be
transferred from the Liquor Control Fund Balance in the General Fund
to the Other Funds (Housing Fund - Kealakehe Housing Plan ) .
The sum of $382 ,749 .69 is being reimbursed from Liquor Control to
the General Fund for the acquisition of office space at the Hilo
Lagoon Centre (Bill 375 ) .
Bill 377 is no longer a valid consideration because action on
Bill 375 accommodates the appropriation of the reimbursed funds from
Liquor Control . Bill 375 -passed second reading on June 23 , 1987 .
During previous committee discussions, your committee expressed its
satisfaction that the Council 's commitment to participate in' the
funding of the Kealakehe Housing Plan was clear . Your committee
also heard from the administration that they were satisfied with the
Council 's position .
Your Committee on Finance finds that Bill 377 is inconsistent with
the previous action on Bill 375 and yr committee recommends that
Bill 377 be received and fi ed .
