HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 289 Draft 01 2016-2018 •�"ly",;*117,9_ •.fly' • • • '''` � ' COUNTY OF HAWAII �;��=�,•�i, _* STATE OF HAWAII ' RESOLUTION NO. 289 1'7 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease for five (5) years for Tasers and associated equipment to be used by the Hawaii County Police Department; and WHEREAS, the Tasers and associated equipment indicated above will become the property of the Hawaii County Police Department upon completion of the terms of the lease; and • BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`l: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease for firearms and associated equipment to be used by the Hawaii County Police Department . 2. That sufficient funds will be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Hawaii County Police Department, and the Finance Department.
