SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
Hina-Lani Street speed limits
The Kona Heavens Homeowners Association requested that the existing speed limit along the mauka
portion of Hina-Lani Street be increased from 25 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour. A location map is
attached.
We investigated the request and agree that 35 miles per hour is a reasonable speed limit for the section of
Hina-Lani Street between Anini Street and the Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190). The Kona Traffic
Safety Committee and the Kona police concur with this amendment.
The subject amendment also identifies "Kamanu Street" as the correct street name for the unnamed road
to Costco.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you have any
