Subject: Chapter 19 Amendments re: Rollback Taxes on
Subdivision of Agriculture Dedicated Lands.
I was suppose to meet with a deputy corporation counsel and
Councilman Yagong's aide this afternoon to discuss the
revision to Bill 83, Draft 2. I would recommend that we be
given more time in revising Draft 2 and be ready for the
July 27 Finance Committee meeting rather than the June 22
or July 7 meeting. The reason for the extension of time is
because the subject section has been one of the most
concerned area of our real property ordinance. I have had
conversations with appraisers from the other three counties
in the past and the implementation of the rollback tax
provision has been a common concern.
I feel the extra time will enable our staff to amend the
language of this section to satisfy many of the concerns we
have on rollback taxes. If you have any questions, please
