To whom it may concern:
In regards to Council Resolution 250-17 I am shocked at the suggested inhumane killing of various
animals and bird. If the contractor states the shore birds are thriving in the.area now why kill all these
other bird and animal species? There may be a "balance established" between the "rat predators" with the
mongoose and cats hunting them and managing their population. Once you eliminate them you could
have a rat infestation and you know they go after the seabird babies and the eggs!
Also placing "bated traps" along the property's " outer edge" will only invite more predators to the area.
Just south of the area is a managed &fed feral spayed cat colony. And you want to kill them as well? I say
leave well enough alone unless their is obvious proof that they are to blame for killing of sea birds.
