RESOLUTION NO. 332 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING
ATTORNEY TO PURCHASE MICROSOFT SQL SERVER LICENSES TO UPGRADE
ITS LASERFICHE SOFTWARE.
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney requires quick and efficient filing,
tracking, and retrieval of documents and information; and
WHEREAS,the current Laserfiche software that is being utilized by the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney needs to be upgraded to run LegalEdge Software, a new case management
system; and
WHEREAS, in order to upgrade Laserfiche, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney first
needs to upgrade its Microsoft SQL Servers, which will require new licenses; and
WHEREAS,the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is requesting funds to purchase
Microsoft SQL Server licenses to upgrade its current Laserfiche software; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney to purchase Microsoft SQL Server licenses to upgrade its existing
Laserfiche software.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance
is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
