Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate John Olson of Kapaau, to the North Kohala Community
Development Plan Action Committee. Mr. Olson retired from the Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources where he worked as a natural resource planner for
over 30 years. He moved to Kohala over 4 years ago.
Mr. Olson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology from the University of
Wisconsin, Green Bay and a Masters of Science degree in Forestry from the University
of Minnesota in St. Paul. Mr. Olson states he wants to serve on the No. Kohala CDP
Action Committee as he is "interested in maintaining and enhancing the quality of life in
North Kohala".
Mr. Olson is a registered Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending
September 9, 2021.
