RESOLUTION NO. 347 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES, TOOLS,AND MAINTENANCE
EQUIPMENT FOR HONOKA`A PARK.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation maintains neighborhood parks,
beach parks, cemeteries, playgrounds, ballfields, and other recreational facilities in an effort to
provide the public with safe and enjoyable facilities; and
WHEREAS, in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation, Friends of the
Park volunteers give their time to preserve, protect, improve, and promote the use of Honoka`a
Park; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation requests funding assistance for
resources that will help the Friends of the Park volunteers maintain the Honoka`a Park grounds;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase supplies, tools, and equipment for the maintenance and
beautification of Honoka`a Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
